Donate now Resilient Communities Organization (RCO) reaches 10,000 households of most vulnerable in Yemen to current ongoing disastrous conflict in 2017. The needs are growing. Help us in reaching them.

Efficiently and effectively Resilient Communities Organization implemented CLTS Program within Emergency Cholera Response project , Radman District ,Albaydaa

Towards a community free of cholera,  Resilient Communitites organization within the WASH program implemented the first and second phase of community-led sanitation which included:
1- Home awareness sessions for 271 families.
2- Distribution of hygiene kits for the number 271.
3- Distribution of 20-liter water basins for 125 families.
4- Distribution of 33 mg chlorine tablets to 271 families.
5- Distributing awareness materials to 271 families.
5- Sanitary follow-up sessions for 153 households.
6- Ignition sessions within the sanitation follow-up.
In the areas of Al-Najd, Al-Ayyashia, Ceylon, Al-Zahir, Al-Qashla, Lakas, Al-Branch, and Sansil, which lasted from October 28 to November 2 for the first phase, and from November 23 to 24 for the second phase.
This activity comes as part of the Cholera Emergency Response Project in the field of water and environmental sanitation, which is currently implemented by Resilient Communities Organization in partnership with UNICEF, in Radman Al Awad District - Radman Sud-District ofAl Bayda Governorate, where the project intends to implement a number of activities aimed at providing water Clean, and good sanitation system in order to get rid of cholera in this targeted areas.

The implementation of the methodology fo CLTS, resulted in elimination of the phenomenon of open defecation by a large percentage, and the community accessd  to a safe and healthy environment, as some indicators of planned achievement exceeded by 381% for the activity of providing chlorine injectors, and 171% of the construction and rehabilitation of latrines.
